What is the franchise fee?

Effective March 28, 2008, the franchise fee is $92,000. GRN has a third-party lender who will take qualified individuals through the complete finance process.

What do I get for my franchise fee?

In exchange for the franchise fee, GRN offers:

• Site selection consulting
• Three weeks (120 hours) of induction training
• During first year, two weeks (80 hours) of field training
• Ongoing one-on-one training and support services
• A five-user computer network
• A 10-user CAPS and GRN Exchange software license
• Comprehensive CAPS computer training
• A videoconferencing unit, including hardware and software
• Membership and ongoing access to the GRN University
• Training and operation manuals
• All sales manuals and materials
• Initial supply marketing materials
• Initial supply of all printed materials and forms
• A laptop and projector for training

While we charge a franchise fee to join GRN, virtually all of it is spent on your new business. GRN does not immediately profit from the sale of new franchises. The operating capital requirement is based on geographic location and size of your staff. As mentioned, territories are exclusive. No other GRN franchise can open an office within your territory during the term of your franchise agreement. GRN does not operate any company offices.

What is the rate of royalty I pay?

GRN franchise offices pay a 7% royalty based on revenue and an additional .5% to the National Advertising Fund. This fund is used for the promotion of the system, never to support the sale of additional franchises.

How long will it take for me to get a business operating?

Typically from 30 to 90 days, based on your sense of urgency and the scheduling of your training class.

• Following your review of this website, contact us by phone, fax or e-mail to request a copy of our prospective franchisee information package.
• Upon careful examination of your materials, we will schedule a follow-up call to answer any questions you have regarding GRN. If appropriate, you will receive our Request for Consideration form. This application tells us about you, your background, education and other qualifications. It should be returned to us, along with your most current resume promptly.
• Once reviewed, appropriate franchise candidates are offered the opportunity to visit GRN World headquarters in Chicago for a business opportunity presentation. As you meet with our executive staff, we will further educate you about our industry, business and company, allowing you to ask questions and further explore the GRN franchise opportunity.
• During this meeting, you will get a Uniform Franchise Offering Circular to look over. We will also give you additional support materials for reference. These may be helpful in the due diligence process.
• If we mutually agree to continue the evaluation process, we will ask that you provide  reference and background verification. This step will not be taken without your express permission.
• Following the due diligence procedure, a decision will be made whether to move forward. If both parties agree, we will grant you a GRN franchise and begin the necessary steps in planning and opening your office.
